YIDI MOTION, a manufacturer of linear motion components, today announced the LMB series of inch-size linear ball bearings, engineered for equipment builders and retrofit engineers working with imperial-dimension shafts. The series spans nine bore sizes from 1/4 inch to 2 inches and is offered in three housing configurations to match different mounting and preload requirements.

Three Configurations, One Inch-Size Platform

The LMB series is built around a common inch-dimension envelope, with three structural variants addressing different application needs:

Standard (UU) – double-sealed, pre-lubricated. Rubber seals on both ends retain grease and block contaminants, the default choice for most general linear motion applications.
Clearance-adjustable (AJ). An adjustable outer ring allows radial clearance to be tightened or preloaded, for applications requiring improved runout or reduced play under reversal.
Open type (OP). A side slot runs the length of the housing, allowing the bearing to be clamped onto a shaft that is supported on both ends by rail or shaft blocks, common in long-station and supported-shaft designs.

Key Engineering Features

Through-hardened bearing steel — raceways are hardened to deliver high hardness, wear resistance, and long service life under reciprocating load.
Precision-ground OD and bore — ground mounting diameter and bore ensure consistent fit in standard inch-dimension housing bores.
Steel ball recirculation circuits — 4 to 6 precision steel ball trains provide smooth, low-noise linear travel; larger bores carry additional ball rows to scale with load.
Integral end seals on UU versions — factory pre-lubricated and sealed for reduced maintenance; relubrication fittings are available on request.
Inch-standard interchangeability — dimensions follow industry-standard inch linear bearing sizes for straightforward replacement of comparable branded units.
Quality assurance and customization — each unit is inspected before shipment; custom bore tolerances, special seal materials, and modified lengths supported for OEM programs.
